The 2016 edition of Adidas Rockstars was the first big international competition we photographed. It was a great experience not only shooting the event, but also taking part in the GORE-TEX Be a Rockstar contest aimed at enthusiastic amateur climbers. Adidas Rockstars puts together the world’s top boulderers that compete in a special format event. The 2016 winners were Janja Garnbret and Tomoa Narasaki.
